Citizen’s Bill of Rights in the Miami Beach Charter – MBU continues working to make our Bill of Rights even more resident friendly.
Ordinance banning the use of gas leaf blowers throughout the city which eliminates noise and fume pollution.
Helped create the Interactive Mapping system on the city website which enables residents to click on a city map and see Commercial and large scale Residential projects
Revised Towing Rules that includes resident pay by credit card, resident discount $150 flat rate, and removal of add-on fees (2020, Richardson)
Increased resident representation by creating a position for a resident-at-large on the Planning and Design Review Boards to amplify resident voices (Fernandez)
Set commission meeting time limits to ensuring meetings end by 7:00 pm unless a supermajority (5/7) votes to continue (2024)
